A visit to Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember

From 13 to 26 11 2022, the Horticulture Department is present at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Java, Indonesia. ITS is Indonesia’s fourth best university. At the invitation of the Department of Environmental Engineering, ITS Dr. Arkadiusz Przybysz, as World Class Professor, is leading a lecture series on phytoremediation of air and ecosystem services of urban greenery. He also visited Java’s largest botanical garden and learned about urban greenery in Surabaya. Collaborative research projects and scientific publications are discussed. The most important highlight, however, will be the signing of an agreement between SGGW and ITS (MoU – Memorandum of Understanding), which will enable further cooperation, including student and young researcher exchanges.
